French President Emmanuel Macron said US President Donald Trump said Ukraine should be involved in negotiations on regional land within any ceasefire agreement with Russia.
The statement is one of the first indications of the outcome of negotiations between Trump, European leaders, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy ahead of the Trump-Vladimir Putin meeting on Friday, August 15.
Trump's insistence on involving Ukraine, if confirmed, could slightly relieve Ukraine and its allies.
