SBY And AHY Will Attend The MPR Annual Session, Regarding Traditional Clothes: Let Ms. Annisa Choose

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Democratic Party as well as Coordinating Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), confirmed his presence at the MPR RI Annual Session on Friday, August 15.

AHY also said that the Chairman of the Democratic Party High Council who is also the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), would fulfill the MPR's invitation.

"God willing, come," AHY said after a coordination meeting with the DPD RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 13.

The MPR annual session which will be held the day after tomorrow will be attended by President Prabowo Subianto. The President will submit a report related to the APBN in the MPR annual session and a joint session with the DPR RI.

AHY said that there was no special preparation to attend the annual session which was a series of commemorations of Indonesian Independence Day. He said that his party wanted to make it a success and invite the public to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia and the entire series with joy.

"Including the ceremony, there will also be many community activities," he said.

"We know we have traditional sports, traditional games. I think that is what our spirit should be while we continue to raise more important issues, that 80 years of independence of the Republic of Indonesia should be an important milestone towards 2045," continued AHY.

When asked about the culture of wearing traditional clothes in the celebration of the annual session, AHY was reluctant to divulge. He entrusted the choice of clothing to his wife, Annisa Pohan.

"Well, later. We usually look for Ms. Annisa, usually," said AHY.
