Hundreds Of Residents Of Gorontalo Prison Suspected Of Poisoning Chicken Porridge For Iftar

JAKARTA - About a hundred residents assisted by the Correctional Institution (Lapas) Klas IIA Gorontalo City, Gorontalo Province allegedly suffered food poisoning.

As reported by Antara, Monday, May 10, as a result of the incident, the target residents had to undergo treatment at two hospitals, Namely Aloei Saboe and Otanaha Hospital.

Meril, a prison-assisted resident who is being treated at Aloei Saboe Hospital, Monday said he experienced vomiting, nausea, and dizziness after eating chicken porridge for iftar on Sunday, May 9.

"I ate chicken porridge for iftar, initially it was normal, but at 21.00 WITA I felt dizzy", he said.

Because he was not feeling well, he chose to see a doctor in Prison and get medicine.

After that, I felt better and had time to help the nurse take care of other friends, but at 02.00 WITA, I vomited", he said.

Meanwhile, other prison residents claimed to feel the same after eating the porridge that was distributed.
