Finding Bodies In Wells In Batang, Police Name 3 Suspects

JAKARTA - The Batang Resort Police (Polres) in Central Java (Central Java), managed to uncover a case of finding a body in a well as arresting three suspects suspected of being the perpetrators of the murder.

Batang Resort Police Chief AKBP Edi Rahmat Mulyana said the case began with jealousy from the perpetrator named AT (23) against his girlfriend with the initials LLS (22) who received a conversation message (chat) from the victim via social media.

"The suspect then replied to the victim's chat using an LLS social media account, and asked to meet behind the Wonotunggal market. The victim, who was not suspicious, then came to the location in question," he said in Batang, Monday, during a statement.

At the time of the meeting, the suspect Amat Tasuri also invited two of his friends. Furthermore, the suspect challenged the victim Ahmad Mughni Sodik (25), a resident of Pekalongan Regency, to a duel while his two friends monitored the conditions around him.

The victim finally lost and in weak condition, the suspect and his theme also kicked Ahmad Mughni's body until he fainted.

"When the victim fainted, the three perpetrators panicked and then decided to throw the victim into a well not far from the scene. Then, to eliminate traces, the victim's motorbike and cellphone were taken away by the perpetrators," he said.

He who was accompanied by the Head of the Detective and Criminal Unit AKP Imam Muhtadi said the case was revealed after the identity of the victim was autopsied at the Batang Hospital.

He said his party was also tracking and finding a motorcycle pawned by one of the perpetrators to residents.

Three suspects, namely AT alias Casmo (23) and Sgy (29), residents of Wonotunggal District, were arrested by the police at their homes while Yog (19) was also the same resident who was arrested in Bandung, West Java.

"Three suspects will be subject to Articles 338, 365 and 170 of the Criminal Code with a maximum threat of 15 prisons. Currently, the perpetrators are still undergoing further investigation," he said.
