Pak Ogah Asks For Money From Motorbikes On Sidewalks In Senayan, Locations Are Directly Guarded By Transportation Agency Officers

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that the placement of officers in the field was carried out so that similar incidents would not happen again.

"We will coordinate with the police and Satpol PP to carry out control and will place members at the location so that the activities of Mr. Ogah at the location and motorbikes do not use the sidewalk to pass, especially in the afternoon," said Syafrin in a short message, Friday, August 8.

Not only that, after going viral on social media, the perpetrators of illegal levies have also been transported by Satpol PP officers. The head of the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP, Satriadi Gunawan, said that the four people who acted were carrying out "services" to motorists to avoid congestion were now taken to social institutions to be fostered.

"The control of 4 Petamburan residents has been carried out. Now the Social Service Sub-dept. has been carried out to be transported to the Kedoya Panti," said Satriadi.

Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung admitted that he had received a report on the whereabouts of residents who collected payments to give access to motorbikes on the sidewalk from Jalan Pejompongan to Palmerah Station or Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto. Pramono emphasized that this violated the rules.

"What is clear is that something like that should not happen, I will immediately ask the Department of Transportation and Satpol PP to discipline anyone," said Pramono.

It is known, this action was recorded and uploaded in a video by the lutfiagizal Instagram account. In the video, three people can be seen directing motorbikes to climb the sidewalk and attach a container to put loose coins from the driver.

"It happened again. I've already gone viral. Now there's more. I'm still making IDR 2000, boss. I'm entering the trotrar. The service violates Jakarta, IDR 2000," said the video recorder on the lutfiagizal account.

From the uploader's statement, the incident occurred on Thursday, August 7. The action of asking for payment from motorbikes on the sidewalk in the same area also happened in March 2024. It went viral, they were immediately brought under control by the Satpol PP.
