Pati Regent Sudewo Finally Cancels The 250 Percent Increase In UN Taxes

Pati Regent Sudewo officially canceled the policy of increasing land taxes and rural and urban buildings (PBB-P2) in 2025 after receiving rejection from people who objected to an increase of up to 250 percent, although not all experienced a fantastic increase.

"The PBB-P2 tariff will be returned to its original state, the same as in 2024," said Regent Pati Sudewo who was accompanied by Kajari Pati, Dandim 0718 Pati, and Police Chief Patidi Pati, Central Java, Friday, August 8.

Sudewo said that this cancellation was taken after observing the development of the situation and aspirations of the community, which have recently been increasingly voicing their rejection of the increase in taxes.

He also ensured that for people who had paid a new tariff, the difference in payments would be returned by the government. Meanwhile, the technical return will be regulated by BPKAD in collaboration with the village head.

Sudewo said this decision was taken to maintain a safe, conducive, and conducive area atmosphere and support the smooth running of the economy and long-term development.

However, the consequences of the decision were delayed by a number of development projects that were previously planned to be included in the 2025 APBD amendments.

"Several projects such as road infrastructure development, repair of damaged RAA Soewondo Hospital ceilings, as well as arrangement of squares that are designed more aesthetically and comfortably, had to be postponed," he explained.

On that occasion, Sudewo also straightened out the term "Pati Mutiara" which was widely discussed.

According to him, this phrase is just the theme of the commemoration of the 702nd Pati Anniversary, not a substitute for the official regional slogan.

"Slogan Kabupaten Pati tetap 'Bumi Mina Tani'. Yang penting kita tetap kompet, solid, dan gotong royong membangun Pati demi Pati yang lebih maju," ujarnya.
