JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government will open the recruitment of firefighters (damkar) in the near future.
Head of the Cooperation and Public Relations Section of the DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat), Mohammad Arief, asked the public to be careful with fraud at the offer of backline firefighter recruitment.
"We urge the public to remain vigilant against all forms of fraud on behalf of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Gulkarmat Service," Arief said in his statement, Friday, August 8.
Arief emphasized that until now there has been no official information regarding the schedule or stages of recruiting firefighters who are other individual service providers (PJLP).
"For the formation of firefighters, it has not been officially opened. If it has been opened, official information will be announced through social media and the official website of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Gulkarmat Service," explained Arief.
Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said he gave flexibility to the DKI Jakarta Gulkarmat Service to carry out the selection process.
Where, the DKI Provincial Government will soon open the recruitment of 1,000 firefighters in this year's formation. However, Pramono emphasized that the process was transparent because registration was carried out online.
"If the position of the fire department is fully held in the fire department (Dinas Gulkarmat) and because the performance of the firefighters is very good. I frankly give full trust to the firefighters," explained Pramono.
"But later, the finalization will be transparent for governors, deputy governors, to see and be involved in it," he added.

"Yes, of course, the main priority is Jakarta residents. But Jakarta is an open city. It's not allowed to then limit anyone. If asked who is the main priority? Yes, Jakarta residents," Pramono explained.
