KPK Set 2 DPR Legislators For CSR BI Corruption Suspects

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has officially named two suspects for alleged corruption in the social responsibility fund or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of Bank Indonesia (BI). The investigation warrant (sprindik) which mentions the names of the two has been issued.

"This is clearly two suspects," said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, August 6.

However, Asep did not want to specify who the suspects were in this case. He only confirmed that both of them came from the legislature without elaborating.

"Yes (from the legislature, ed)," he said.

Previously, the KPK had mentioned the DPR member of the NasDem Satori Party faction and Member of the DPR from the Gerindra Party faction Heri Gunawan as suspects at the end of 2024.

Later, the name was corrected because the investigation warrant (sprindik) issued was still common, which means there were no suspects at that time.

Even so, the Satori House in the Cirebon area, West Java has been searched by investigators. From the search process, investigators found documents allegedly related to the alleged corruption of BI CSR funds.

In addition, searches were also carried out at Heri Gunawan's house and evidence was found in the form of documents.

In this case, the KPK suspects that CSR BI funds flowed to a number of foundations affiliated with the two. The money later became an asset enjoyed by related parties.
