The Attorney General's Office (AGO) confiscated five luxury cars belonging to Riza Chalid who is a suspect in the alleged corruption case of crude oil governance and refinery products at PT Pertamina Persero Sub Holding-KKKS for the period 2018-2023.
The Head of the Attorney General's Office, Anang Supriatna, said that the confiscation of the five cars was carried out in several different locations on Monday, August 5.
"The confiscation was obtained, there are five vehicles in front, this is the Toyota Alphard, there is the Mini Cooper, there are three Mercy sedans," Anang told reporters, Tuesday, August 5.
The five luxury cars were said to have not been confiscated directly from Riza Chalid's residence. However, from parties affiliated with the oil entrepreneur.
"From this search, we obtained evidence that is suspected by investigators to have something to do with ownership in the name of the suspect MRC," he said.
Regarding the investigation, Riza Chalid was always absent from three summons for examination as a suspect. So, investigators will take other legal steps to get the information.
