The Attorney General's Office Confiscates 5 Riza Chalid, Mini Cooper To Mercy Cars

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) confiscated five luxury cars belonging to Riza Chalid who is a suspect in the alleged corruption case of crude oil governance and refinery products at PT Pertamina Persero Sub Holding-KKKS for the period 2018-2023.

The Head of the Attorney General's Office, Anang Supriatna, said that the confiscation of the five cars was carried out in several different locations on Monday, August 5.

"The confiscation was obtained, there are five vehicles in front, this is the Toyota Alphard, there is the Mini Cooper, there are three Mercy sedans," Anang told reporters, Tuesday, August 5.

The five luxury cars were said to have not been confiscated directly from Riza Chalid's residence. However, from parties affiliated with the oil entrepreneur.

"From this search, we obtained evidence that is suspected by investigators to have something to do with ownership in the name of the suspect MRC," he said.

Regarding the investigation, Riza Chalid was always absent from three summons for examination as a suspect. So, investigators will take other legal steps to get the information.

"The person concerned has been summoned, but at the time of the summons he was ignored and we conducted a search," said Anang

Since being named a suspect, investigators are known to have twice scheduled the examination to be precise on July 24 and 28, as well as August 4, 2025. However, Riza Chalid never attended it.

Circulating information, Riza Chalid is said to be in Malaysia. In fact, he has married a relative of the Sultanate of the neighboring country.

Meanwhile, other suspects, namely Alfian Nasution (AN) as Vice President of Supply and Head Office Distribution of PT Pertamina 2011-2015; Hanung Budya Marityanta (HB) as Director of Marketing and Commerce of PT Pertamina 2014; and Toto Nugroho (TN) as Vice President Integrated Supply Change in 2017-2018.

Then Dwi Sudarsono (DS) as Vice President and Product of the Head Office of PT Pertamina Persero 2018-2020; Martin Haendra Nata (MH) as the Development Manager Business of PT Travigura in 2019-2021; and Indra Putra Harsono (IP) as the Development Business Manager of Mahameru Kencana Abadi.

They were named as suspects because they were suspected of making direct appointments to the Merak fuel terminal with a high rental price that did not benefit Pertamina. In addition, formulate for Pertalite products are illegal.
