Jember Regent Revokes SE ASN Online-WFA School After Normal Fuel

Jember Regent Muhammad Fawait revoked the online school circular (SE) and work from anywhere (WFA) for state civil servants (ASN) within the local government after the distribution of fuel oil (BBM) returned to normal in Jember Regency, East Java.

"After receiving a report from Pertamina that the fuel condition has returned to normal and safe, the Jember Regency Government will reactivate the learning process at schools and ASN will enter as usual from Monday (4/8)," said Fawait as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 1.

According to him, the scarcity of fuel in Jember has ended thanks to the cooperation of all parties, including the central government, provinces, districts, Pertamina, and the DPR who have helped to overcome the fuel crisis that occurred in Jember.

"Alhamdulillah, Jember has become a district with the fastest handling of fuel crises throughout Indonesia compared to other areas that took weeks. Jember Regency has only been overcoming fuel shortages for 4 days," he said.

Thus, he continued, the SE of online schools and the implementation of WFA's work for ASN were revoked in line with the smooth distribution of fuel and there were no longer long queues at all gas stations in Jember Regency.

The Jember Education Office immediately followed up on the revocation of the SE of the online school to PAUD, SD and SMP education levels, so that the students returned to school on August 4, 2025.

Meanwhile, Sales Branch Manager Rayon II PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Hendra Saputra said the supply of fuel at all Jember gas stations was safe and there were no longer long queues.

"As of August 1, 2025, all fuel stocks at Jember gas stations are safe and we ensure that fuel stocks are always available. Conditions are back to normal. God willing, all types of fuel are currently available at all Jember gas stations," he said.

Previously, the Regent of Jember issued a circular (SE) regarding online schools and State Civil Apparatus (ASN) that could work from anywhere (WFA) on July 29, 2025, due to the scarcity of fuel that occurred in Jember Regency due to delays in distribution due to the closure of the Gumitir route and congestion at Ketapang Port.
