Tangerang City Residents Are Urged To Install The Red And White Flag Starting August 1

TANGERANG - The Tangerang City Government appealed to the public to install the Red and White Flag simultaneously starting on August 1, 2025 in front of homes, offices, business premises, and in public facilities.

Tangerang City Assistant for Government and People's Welfare Deni Koswara said the invitation and appeal were contained in the Circular Letter of the Mayor of Tangerang Number 23908 of 2025 concerning Themes and Logo for the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.

The raising of the Red and White Flag is not only a symbol of warning, but a form of respect for the heroes who have fought for independence. This is also a moment to foster a sense of love for the homeland in the community," he said in Tangerang, Antara, Friday, August 1.

The Tangerang City Government invites all citizens to participate in creating an atmosphere of nationalism and the spirit of nationality in their respective environments. Community involvement is an important element in the success of the commemoration of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day.

"We want the atmosphere of August to be a meaningful month," he said.

With the active participation of the community, the commemoration of independence is not only a ceremony, but also a momentum to build national values and mutual cooperation.

"With the spirit of sovereign unity, the people are prosperous, advanced Indonesia, which is the big theme of this year's commemoration, it is hoped that the vibrant independence will be able to trigger the spirit of collaboration to build a nation that is more advanced and prosperous," he said.

"To enliven the commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, all offices within the Tangerang City Government and the private sector put up independence decorations. This decoration includes tubers, banners, billboards, and other visual decorations in accordance with the guidelines for the visual identity of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia," he said.
