Coordinating Ministry For Political, Legal And Security Affairs Ensures PSU And Re-Pilkada Run Smoothly

Deputy Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Wamenko Polkam) Lodewijk Freidrich ensured that re-voting (PSU) for the re-election of Regional Heads (Pilkada) in a number of regions could run smoothly and conducively.

"The readiness to organize the PSU by the organizers is very ready, and the readiness of the polling stations (TPS) is ready. What is no less important is the issue of security factors," Lodewijk said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, July 31.

Lodewijk after holding a meeting with the General Election Commission (KPU), the TNI and Polri said that his party would hold a PSU on August 6, 2025 in Papua Province, Boven Regency and North Barito Regency.

As for the re-cash elections, they will be held in Bangka and Pangkal Pinang Regencies on August 27, 2025.

Lodewijk admitted that his party also ensured that the need for election logistics had been met and security in several conflict-prone places such as Papua had also been increased.

Now, candidate pairs are entering their campaign period from June 4 to August 2.

"God willing, August 3 to 5 is a quiet day. Then, August 6 is voting day," said Lodewijk.

Lodewijk hopes that the follow-up democratic party can run smoothly, conducively, honestly and fairly.
