Need Eid Money, Minimarket Employees Steal Rp.87 Million In Safe

JAKARTA - The police arrested a minimarket employee named Alfino for being involved in a theft at his workplace. He and three colleagues stole Rp.87 million in cash and several slops of cigarettes.

"One of the perpetrators is a minimarket employee. He collaborates with three of his colleagues," said Pancoran Police Chief Kompol Rudiyanto to VOI, Friday, May 7.

In carrying out the action, the three actors apart from Alfino first came to the minimarket in Pancoran, South Jakarta, on Thursday, May 6. They pretend to buy cigarettes.

"The three perpetrators hid in the warehouse until the minimarket closed. After being given a code by the perpetrator, their new minimarket employee left," he said.

When the other minimarket employees returned home, the four perpetrators immediately took action. They broke into a safe containing Rp.87 million and several slopes of cigarettes.

"The suspect's confession that they need money for Eid," said Rudiyanto.

Although the action was smooth sailing, they were finally caught. These perpetrators were arrested in different locations. They are currently in the Pancoran Police detention cell.
