The South Jakarta Metro Police arrested 11 foreign nationals (WNA) from China who turned a house on Jalan Agricultural Raya, Lebak Bulus, Cilandak, South Jakarta, into the headquarters of an online fraud disguised as a police officer from Wuhan District, China.

"We arrested 11 foreigners from China for allegedly committing fraud through electronic media or online scams," said South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Nicolas Ary Lilipaly during a press conference at the location, Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

The disclosure of this case stems from reports from the public who are suspicious of suspicious activities at the house. The police confiscated various pieces of evidence, including a set of official clothes of the Chinese People's Republic Police (RRC), 27 cell phones, 10 units of iPads of various types, One laptop, Mandarin-language documents.

The eleven arrested perpetrators were LYF (45), SK (24), HW (33), CZ (47), YH (32), HY (48), LZ (33), CW (40), ZL (41), JW (36), and SL (37).

For their actions, the perpetrators were charged with Article 28 of Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE), Article 378 of the Criminal Code concerning fraud, Articles 78, 113, 116, and 122 of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration, including violations of overstays, entry without visas, to misuse of residence permits.
