Mesuji 1 High School Teacher Stole 18 Computers In School

JAKARTA - Police have arrested a teacher suspected of being the perpetrator of the theft of 18 computers at Mesuji 1 High School in Sungai Badak Village, Mesuji Regency, Lampung.

"The perpetrator, who is also a teacher at Mesuji 1 High School, was arrested by Tekab 308 Mesuji Police at his home, on Thursday, May 6", said Kapolres Mesuji AKBP Alim, in Mesuji, reported by Antara, Friday, May 7.

He said that the perpetrator S was a teacher with the status of a Civil Servant who served at the school.

According to him, the arrest of the perpetrator was a resident of Marga Jaya Village, Metro Kibang District, East Lampung was based on a report from the school teacher council.

Head Of Criminal Investigation Mesuji Police, Iptu Riki Nopariansyah, revealed that on Tuesday, May 4, the reporter got a call from Yudi, the Deputy Head of School for Curriculum Affairs and asked about the lock for the ICT Laboratory room to be replaced.

"That night, all the teacher councils held iftar together and asked about the padlocks that were replaced. After breaking the fast with several teachers, they went to the ICT Laboratory room. and the padlock is indeed changed. But after peeking out of the window there were several computers in the room missing", he said.

At 11.00 WIB the reporter and several teachers checked and it turned out that the lock was forcibly opened. After checking that 18 Acer AIO computers were missing, five UPS Prolinkpro 2, one laptop unit, two TP switch/hub units also disappeared.

"At that time the Mesuji Police Unit Tekab 308 made an arrest, the evidence was kept in his house, the perpetrator and the evidence had secure at Mesuji Police Headquarters", he said.

The police are still investigating the motive of the perpetrator for the theft of the computer at Mesuji 1 High School.

The evidence was successfully secured by 14 AIO Acer computers, one AIO Acer computer unit was uncovered, three Acer keyboard units, three mouse units in black, five units of UPS Prolinkpro2, and three units of switch/hun TP-link.

The perpetrator is charged under Article 363 regarding theft with a maximum threat of seven years imprisonment.
