Prabowo Wants The Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Diplomat's Death Case To Be Completely Investigated

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto wants the death of a young diplomat as well as staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu), Arya Daru Pangayunan (ADP) to be investigated as well as possible by law enforcement.

"He certainly as President handed over to law enforcement officials for the best possible investigation," said State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi when giving a press statement at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, July 25.

Prasetyo invites all parties to wait for the results of the investigation.

"We'll wait for the results," said Prasetyo.

Previously, the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi stated that investigators had examined CCTV footage at 20 points covering the environment of the late boarding house and several places he had visited, including the office.

"The recording is a recording for the last seven days. The examination of digital evidence is still ongoing by the digital forensic team and analysis from the Directorate of Cyber Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya," he said on Thursday.

The police have also examined 15 witnesses consisting of individuals around the boarding house, workplace, Arya Daru's family, and from the parties who last communicated with him.

The young diplomat was found dead by a boarding house guard on July 8 in his boarding house room in Jakarta with his head wrapped in duct tape.

His body was autopsied at the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) to determine the cause of death.

The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) hopes that the cause of Arya Daru's death can be revealed soon.

Commissioner of Kompolnas Mohammad Choirul Anam said a number of evidences had been pocketed by the Polda Metro Jaya, including a digital track record, just waiting for the autopsy results.

He also mentioned that there were no obstacles related to the disclosure of this case.

"Hopefully it's just an autopsy and it can be announced soon because this is important. The light of the incident, it makes things optimal," said Anam.
