Police Say 16-Year-Old Girl Raped By 12 Youths In Cianjur Improved

JAKARTA - The Cianjur Resort Police (Polres) noted that the condition of underage girls who were victims of rape by residents of Sukaresmi District began to improve after experiencing severe trauma and still received team assistance from the Cianjur Police PPA unit.

Kasatreskrim Cianjur Police AKP Tono Listianto said the victim's condition, namely Mawar (16), had begun to interact with the person she met, even psychologist assistance was still provided so that the victim could recover normally.

"The victim has started to talk a lot about the case that happened to him after being screened by 12 perpetrators, assistance will continue to be provided so that the victim can live a normal life as usual," he said in Cianjur, Tuesday, July 22, which was confiscated by Antara.

To complete the examination and demands to ensnare the perpetrators, he said, his party had received information from the victim who had previously had difficulty remembering the heartbreaking events that had happened to him.

The victim, who had difficulty remembering what had happened to him, was finally able to reveal the chronology from the beginning to the end of being able to return home and report the incident to his parents who were continued to the police.

"Currently the victim is starting to show signs of recovery from post-incident trauma, even the victim has started to dare to speak and tell the chronology he experienced, the mentoring process is still ongoing involving a team of psychologists from the West Java Province PPA UPTD," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding one other perpetrator who has been included in the Cianjur Police Wanted List (DPO), he is still being chased by officers, where his party asked the perpetrators to immediately surrender or continue to be hunted until they are caught.

"Currently, only one perpetrator is still running away and his whereabouts have been detected, in the near future we will arrest them so that a total of 12 perpetrators have been arrested," he said.

As reported by the Cianjur Police, arrested 10 suspected perpetrators of raping underage girls from Sukaresmi District and are still hunting for two other perpetrators who are on the wanted list or fugitives.

Head of the Cianjur Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Adjunct Commissioner of Police Tono Listianto, said the perpetrators took turns raping in a number of different locations for four consecutive days until finally the victim returned home and reported to the police.

"For four days the victim was raped in turns by 12 perpetrators in different places, where initially the victim was invited by four youths who were still in the same village with him to the Puncak area," he said.

After receiving the report, the police were immediately dispatched to a number of locations to arrest the perpetrators. A total of 10 perpetrators were arrested in a number of areas without resistance and two other perpetrators were suspected of running away after committing rape.
