Bali Deputy Governor Responds To Potential Banyan Beach Used By Other Investors

DENPASAR - Deputy Governor (Deputy Governor) of Bali I Nyoman Giri Prasta responded to the public's fear that the Bingin Beach land would be used by other investors.

"Even if anyone is building there (Bingin Beach) or where, if it is already implemented, I think it is very supportive because Bali needs investment," said Giri Prasta, Monday, July 21.

The Bali Provincial Government has dismantled 48 illegal tourism business buildings such as restaurants and lodging in the Bingin Beach area, Badung Regency.

These efforts were evicted due to the use of state land so far, and the eviction was carried out after giving the first, second, and third warning letters, although there were still many rejections because business owners were dominated by local residents.

Deputy Governor Giri Prasta emphasized that the Bali Provincial Government's steps were correct because they were in accordance with the mechanism and received the support of the Bali DPRD.

Even in the future, active inspections of illegal tourism businesses will be strengthened to anticipate land conversion.

"We exemplify it with the OSS, which is currently a green route, which can be built with an investment of IDR 5 billion and below, so we must really move the order in Bali, so that it does not leave the regulation but Balinese people must be able to enjoy the universe and the universe in Bali," said Giri Prasta.

He assessed that as long as the construction is in accordance with regulations and does not marginalize the Balinese people, it is possible to allow it.

However, for now, Deputy Governor Giri does not want to just wonder if one day the Bingin Beach land will be filled with investors or not.

"We are a state of law, I think that, we'll see later, don't think about it first," he said.

Asked about the new reason now that the demolition was carried out while for years the tourism business building was established, Giri Prasta only responded with an apology for many developments that he did not know.

"As for the development issue, sorry there are so many developments that we don't know about, even now there is a development that for one month can build it," he said.

Meanwhile, to guarantee employees in the affected Bingin Beach area, Deputy Governor Giri did not dare to promise, because business owners had been found guilty so the government did not dare to guarantee the fate of employees there.
