Traders In Medan Killed By Robbers, Their Feet Bound, Assets Brushed

MEDAN - A trader named Lisbet Br Napitupulu (55) was found lifeless in his house on Jalan Pelita I, Kelurahan Sidorame Barat, Medan Perjuangan, Medan City.

Lisbet was found dead after being killed by a gang of robbers. From the victim's body, stab wounds were found and his two legs were tied with ropes.

Not only that, the victims' belongings such as motorbikes, gold and cash lost were carried away by the robbers.

"He (Lisbet) lives alone. The victim is trading groceries inside the house," said a resident of Jon, Thursday, May 6.

Jon explained that the murder was discovered by a neighbor who was going to shop at the victim's shop.

"Feeling suspicious that the victim had not come out, the witness entered the shop and saw that the victim was lying covered in blood on the bedroom bed," he explained.

Seeing that the victim died covered in blood, the residents reported the case to the head of the local environment. Then forwarded to the authorities.

Not long ago, East Medan Police personnel together with the Medan Police Inafis Team came to the scene. On arrival at the location, the Medan Police Inafis Team evacuated the victim's body and took him to the North Sumatra Regional Police Bhayangkara Hospital for an autopsy. Officers have also installed a police line at the scene.

Meanwhile, Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the East Medan Police, Iptu Jefri Simamora, when confirmed, said that his party was still investigating the case.

"Later, yes. The victim is still undergoing an autopsy," he concluded.
