PDIP DKI Responds Tito To The Loss Of BUMD As A Result Of His Position Filled With Timses: The Important Thing Is To Fulfill The Procedure

JAKARTA - Member of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Dwi Rio Sambodo, responded to the statement of the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian regarding the income of regional-owned enterprises (BUMD) who lost due to the position of directors and commissioners being filled by the successful team of regional heads in office.

According to Rio, the appointment of people who have helped campaign and won regional heads as high-ranking BUMD officials is not prohibited, as long as the lifting process meets applicable regulations.

"Whether it's timses or not, the important thing is that it has complied with the procedure. That's right," Rio told reporters, Thursday, July 17.

However, if an official in BUMD is appointed for subjective or entrusted reasons and he is unable to work properly, Rio also demands that the government, in this case, the DKI Provincial Government, immediately evaluate it.

"If it is indeed a subjective deposit that does not meet the needs of the BUMD, it must be corrected. Do not let the BUMD be financed by regional development management and this confirms the interests of the lives of many people. Don't let that be defeated, that's more or less," Rio explained.

Previously, the Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian said that as many as 300 BUMDs suffered losses in the management of the company with a figure of Rp. 5.5 trillion. This was revealed by Tito in a working meeting with Commission II of the DPR RI.

"What may need to be the attention of all of us, that the number of BMDs suffered losses is approximately 300 BUMDs, 27.50 percent (of the total BUMDs)," said Tito at the DPR building, Wednesday, July 16.

One of the factors that caused BUMD to not profit and even lose money, according to Tito, was because many high-ranking company officials were held by the success team of regional heads who are currently in office. Not being seen, the composition of directors and commissioners of people who do not match their professional backgrounds often burdens the company.

"Some of the problems that make you unhealthy are the first to be unprofessional. Yes, sometimes many are in the BUMD from the success team. Yes, it's okay to be professional. But if you're not professional, it's a burden, both directors and commissioners or employees," explained Tito.

From this condition, Tito emphasized that the losing BUMD actually burdens the local government. This is because often the state-owned company asks for an injection of regional capital participation allocated from the regional budget (APBD).

"In the end, it didn't work, it didn't work. Finally, asking for life to be given an injection from the APBD. The APBD was injected not to make him healthy. For operational costs. Add more tore. Change the regional head. Continued with the new regional head. Maybe it can also improve, it can also burden it again. So the burden of the next regional head is again," said Tito.
