Kunker's Reason, Attorney Asks For Examination Of 2 Members Of The NTB DPRD In The Polkir Fund Corruption Case Postponed

JAKARTA - Two members of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Provincial DPRD asked the NTB High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) to postpone the agenda of examining cases of alleged corruption abuse in the submission and management of basic thought funds (pokir) for the 2025 fiscal year.

Spokesperson for the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Efrien Saputera, said that the request was based on an official statement from the attorneys of the two members of the NTB DPRD.

"So, today they were not present. There was a letter from their attorney asking for a postponement of the summons to two members of the NTB DPRD," he said by telephone, Thursday, July 17, which was confiscated by Antara.

In a letter received by the prosecutor's office, the two were unable to attend the summons of the prosecutor for reasons of a working visit (kunker).

"Currently, the person concerned is carrying out an important official agenda that cannot be abandoned, namely work visits outside the region in the context of supervising infrastructure and health development programs," he said.

Following up on the letter, Efrien stated that his party would reschedule their summons.

"Because we were unable to attend, of course we will reschedule, when? We will report it again later," he said.

Two members of the NTB DPRD who were summoned today were the Chairman of Commission IV for Infrastructure, Physical, and Development of the NTB DPRD Hamdan Kasim and a member of Commission V of the NTB DPRD Indra Jaya Usman.

The summons of the two legislators was officially sent by the NTB Prosecutor's Office based on letter number: B-2120/N.2.5/Fd.1/07/2025 regarding a request for assistance for summons to the chairman of the NTB DPRD.

In the narration of the letter, the prosecutor asked the chairman of the NTB DPRD to help convey the letter to Hamdan Kasim and Indra Jaya Usman.

The prosecutor in a letter signed by Plt. Assistant for Special Crimes at the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Ely Rahmawati, asked the two of them to appear before the prosecutor to provide information on Thursday, July 17.

Efrien said that the agenda for this request for information was running at the NTB Prosecutor's Office investigation stage in accordance with the issuance of the investigation warrant (Sprinlid) number: PRINT-09/N.2/Fd.1/2025 dated July 10, 2025.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) had highlighted the handover and management of the Pokir funds at the NTB DPRD.

Kasatgas Coordination and Supervision Region V KPK Dian Patria previously said that in 2024 each member of the NTB DPRD has the authority to manage a poor fund worth IDR 3 billion.

According to him, it is necessary to enforce regulations in the management of this pokir fund so that it does not always become the findings of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) every year, whether it is a matter of distribution that is not right on target or a violation of distribution regulations.
