Minister Of Social Affairs: 8 Million People Crossed Out Of BPJS Health PBI Data

JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf said that as many as eight million people were issued from data on recipients of BPJS Health contribution assistance (PBI).

"In order to (distribution) the social assistance is right on target, eight million more have been disabled from the recipients of this contribution assistance," said Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf during a hearing with Commission IX of the DPR RI to discuss PBI JKN data based on DTSEN, reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 15.

Those whose names have been crossed out are considered capable so that they no longer have the right to receive social assistance from the government.

"The quota (PBI) remains, but is transferred to other beneficiaries who we consider more entitled to than the previous eight million," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

According to him, the deletion of PBI recipient data is an implementation of the implementation of the National Sole Social Economic Data (DTSEN).

DTSEN is used as a data guide for the distribution of social assistance due to the distribution of social assistance so far which is considered not on target.

In Presidential Instruction Number 4 of 2025 concerning National Sole Social Economic Data, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) is mandated to integrate and compile an accurate, up-to-date, and integrated National Socio-Economic Single Data (DTSEN), as well as manage DTSEN.

BPS continues to update DTSEN every three months through the ground check.

Ground checker aims to check the inclusion error and exclusion error in the distribution of social assistance phase 1 so that it can perfect DTSEN for the distribution of the next stage.

"The use of National Sole Social Economic Data as the main source of data in planning, implementation, and evaluation of social and economic policies so that it can ensure that government programs that are implemented are more targeted, effective, efficient, and accountable," said Head of BPS Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti.

In formulating DTSEN, BPS integrates Socio-Economic Registration (Regsosek) data, Targeting the Acceleration of the Elimination of Extreme Poverty (P3KE), Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS), which is reconciled with Dukcapil data, BPJS Employment, and PLN.
