JAKARTA - The appearance of the Sunda Nusantara Empire appeared to attract a lot of attention. The existence of this 'kingdom' was revealed after a man named Rusdi Karepesina was prosecuted for violating traffic rules.

Rusdi, who was driving at the time, was caught in a raid at the Cawang toll gate, East Jakarta. He also claimed to be a General of the Sunda Nusantara Empire,

Taking action against Rusdi for not using the valid police number on his vehicle. He uses a number plate with a blue base color and white numbers with the number 'SN 45 RSD'.

In fact, during the initial inspection, Rusdi always pointed to the Motor Vehicle License (STKB) and the Driving License (SIM) issued by the Sunda Nusantara Empire State.

Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Director Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said, for now, Rusdi is under suspicion of multiple articles related to traffic violations.

The first is with the Traffic Law, there are many violations, namely, he does not use a motorized vehicle number as issued by the Police, namely Article 280 of the Traffic Law", said Kombes Sambodo.

Rusdi was also accused of Article 288 paragraph 1 of the Traffic Law. The reason was that he insisted that the car he was driving was using the identity of the Sunda Nusantara Empire.

"Then when asked for the STNK (Vehicle Registration Certificate), he even showed the STNK from the Sunda Nusantara Empire. He could not show the STNK issued by the Police thus violating Article 288 paragraph 1 of the Traffic and Road Transportation Law. The threat is 2 months and a fine of IDR 500 thousand", said Sambodo.

Furthermore, Rusdi Karepesina is also subject to regulations related to driving license (SIM). This is because Rusdi still believes that the Sunda Nusantara Empire SIM is valid.

"Unable to show a valid driver's license so he is subject to Article 288 paragraph 2. So he is subject to 3, Article 280, Article 288 paragraph 1 and Article 288 paragraph 2", said Sambodo.

Other, the police will also examine Rusdi's psyche. This examination is in the aftermath of his recognition as a General of the Sunda Nusantara Empire.

In the future, of course, we will try to coordinate with Medicine and Health Police Jakarta, we will check his psyche.

A psychiatric examination was carried out because when asked to show valid documents, the man insisted on stating that his documents were valid. He believed that the Sunda Nusantara Empire was a legitimate government

"When questioned, the driver insisted that he was using a valid STNK and driving license according to the Nusantara Kingdom", said Sambodo.

Apart from that, said Sambodo, his party would also coordinate with the criminal investigation unit to investigate whether there were violations or not of the criminal offense for the use of documents issued by the Sunda Nusantara Empire

"To coordinate whether there is a criminal offense with the existence of letters like this", said Sambodo.

The emergence of the 'kingdom' that repainted the name of Sunda was not the first time. Previously there was also the appearance of the Sunda Empire.

Sunda Empire, which was then led by Nasri Banks and Ki Ageng Ranggasasana, claimed that the rule of all countries was under the Sunda Empire.

However, the emergence of the Sunda Empire actually resulted in a crime. The two of them were named suspects by the police.

Until finally, they were found guilty by the panel of judges. They were sentenced to two years in prison.

They were subject to Article 14 paragraph (1) of Law Number 1 the Year 1946 as in the first indictment regarding the act of broadcasting fake news.
