Fear Of Being Scolded By His Wife For Ludes Money For Judol, This Husband In Padang Is Engineering A Motorcycle Thief Case

The Padang Police Criminal Investigation Unit revealed a case of engineering the robbery carried out by a local resident with the initials MF (31).

Initially, MF reported as a victim of robbery, but after the investigation, it was revealed that the report was a fake and was just an alibi to cover up his bad habits.

"This case was revealed when the resident came to report and claimed to have become a victim of robbery," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Padang Police, Kompol M Yasin, Antara, Sunday, July 13.

MF claims to have been robbed in the Ujung Tanah area, Lubuk Begalung, while riding a motorcycle on Saturday morning. In his report, he admitted that he was beaten by two unknown people before his motorbike was seized.

However, after an investigation was carried out, the authorities did not find evidence of the robbery at the location mentioned. In addition, MF's information changed, raising suspicions.

"Investigate a calibaration, it turns out that the motorbike was not stolen, but was pawned by the perpetrator himself for Rp. 2 million, along with two cellphones," said Yasin.

MF's motive for engineering the incident was for fear of being scolded by his wife. He admitted to pawning a motorbike and cellphone after the money ran out to play online gambling.

For this action, MF is now charged with Article 220 of the Criminal Code regarding false reports, with a maximum penalty of 1 year and 4 months in prison.

"We deeply regret this action because it can cause unrest in the community," said Yasin.

The police appealed to the public not to make false reports, and to stay away from online gambling practices that often lead to other crimes.
