SAR Searches For Tin Miners Diving Using Missing Compresor Selang In West Bangka Waters

The SAR team is searching for one of the dive tin ore mining workers who drowned in the waters of Penganak, West Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province (Babel).

"Currently, the joint team and the victim's family are already at the location looking for a tin diving miner with the initials AR (29) who went missing in the waters of Penganak," said Head of the Pangkalpinang SAR Office I Made Oka Astawa Kansar in a press statement received in Pangkalpinang, Sunday, July 13, confiscated by Antara.

He said the Pangkalpinang City SAR received information about the incident that happened to the victim with the initials AR (29), a resident of Penganak Village, West Bangka Regency on Saturday, July 12 at 13.15 WIB, carrying out tin mining in Penganak waters by diving using a compressor hose.

"Receiving this report, we together with Rescuer USS Mentok, BinPotMar AL Post, Satpolairud Polres, West Bangka BPBD, and the families of the victims are searching for the drowned victims," he said.

He stated, based on the information of the victim's colleague who was mining tin ore in Penganak waters, the victim's colleague suddenly saw the compressor tube belonging to the victim loose and released by itself.

Knowing this, the victim's colleague tried to check and search for the victim by diving, but until the afternoon the victim had not been found and finally reported this incident to the Pangkalpinang SAR.

Receiving this report, SAR Pangkalpinang immediately dispatched a Rescue Team USS Mentok to the location of the incident at coordinates in the waters of Penganak, Jebus District, West Bangka.

"Currently the team is at the scene to conduct a search. The victim is known to be wearing a black shirt and shorts. The search for the victim is expected to produce results soon," he said.
