Jayapura Regent: Residents Of Kaureh Propose The Expansion Of Nawa Lanny District

JAYAPUTA REGENCY, - Jayapura Regent, Papua Province Yunus Wonda received the aspirations of the people of Kaureh District regarding the proposed expansion of the new region, namely Nawa Lanny District, which was submitted during a working visit to the area.

Jayapura Regent Yunus Wonda in Kaureh District, Saturday, said that in addition to proposing a district expansion, the local community also proposed the expansion of 30 villages in this area.

"Since yesterday we have been in Kaureh District for a working visit, but also directly absorb the aspirations of the people here. There are proposals to make a new district, namely Nawa Lanny and 30 villages," he said.

According to Yunus, another aspiration is the construction of student dormitories, solving land problems, to livable houses for the local community.

"We have come directly between the community and listened to every aspiration in the form of a proposal, and we will accommodate everything in the 2026 regional development planning," he said.

He said his presence in Kaureh District was not just a ceremonial visit but to listen to the voices of the people's hearts to ensure that every aspiration became a serious concern of the local government.

"This is the commitment of the Jayapura Regency Government (Pemkab) to develop areas by preceding remote and remote areas, such as the Kaureh District," he said again.

He added that all aspirations were accommodated and would be followed up as part of the implementation of the Jayapura Regent and Deputy Regent's vision and mission.

"We also hand over rice aid to the local community as a form of government attention. I also ask all regional officials not to remain silent after this visit, but to immediately follow up on the needs of the community," said Jayapura Regent Yunus Wonda.
