Clashes Between Petamburan Residents In Central Jakarta, A Number Of People Injured

JAKARTA - Two groups of residents were involved in clashes in the Petamburan area, Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, afternoon.

The brawl between residents was an after-match that took place on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.

The brawlers were equipped with various sharp weapons, blunt weapons, bottles, stones and firecrackers. They were seen attacking each other to injure the opponent.

Several residents involved in the brawl suffered head injuries that were leaked due to being hit by stones.

Luckily, the brawl was successfully dispersed by members of the TNI and Polri who were present at the location during the brawl.

Kapolsek Tanah Abang Central Jakarta, Kompol Haris Akhmat Basuki confirmed the brawl. Currently the situation is conducive because police officers have been deployed for security.

"The team is still at the location, still being sterilized," he said when confirmed.

The police chief has not been able to confirm the cause of the brawl between residents because it is still in the process of being investigated.

"It's been a long time since the subsidence, it broke again," he said.
