Gibran Invites AI And Blockchain Literacy Students: Don't Miss Out!

JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Gibran Rakabuming Raka expressed his readiness to support students at the Pandanaran Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes), Pakem, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta, to master artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technology.

In a gathering at Pandanaran Islamic Boarding School, Tuesday (8/7), the Vice President said that teachers from Jakarta would be sent to teach material about AI to students.

"Pak Kiai, later if we need a teacher or trainer, we can send it from Jakarta later," said Gibran to the Pandanaran Islamic Boarding School management during a gathering at Pandanaran Islamic Boarding School, Yogyakarta, Tuesday, as quoted from the official broadcast of the Vice Presidential Secretariat, Wednesday, July 9.

According to Gibran, students are part of the younger generation who have to adapt to advances in digital technology, including artificial intelligence and blockchain, because knowledge of the two is believed to be an important competence in the future.

"We want all of our friends to be able to keep up with the times well, use the latest technologies well. So, young people should not be left behind! All aspects of life will use technology," Gibran told the students.

During the gathering, Gibran then forwarded President Prabowo Subianto's message to the boarding school administrators and all students.

" Warm greetings from Mr. President Prabowo for all students, kiai, gus-gus, Mrs. Nyai, everyone here," said Vice President Gibran.

Gibran's arrival at the Pandanaran Islamic Boarding School was part of the working visit of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia in Yogyakarta, Tuesday. At Pandanaran Islamic Boarding School, the gathering was also attended by the Chairman of Commission IV DPR Siti Hediati Suharto (Titiek Suharto), Member of Commission V DPR Danang Wicaksana, and Deputy Minister of SOEs Aminuddin Ma'ruf.

In the same official broadcast, Pandanaran Islamic Boarding School Leader KH Mu'tashim Billah said his boarding school and Gibran had a close relationship that had existed long before Joko Widodo's 7th eldest son became vice president.

"He has become our family. Before the nomination came here, after winning, he came here. This was after the inauguration, he came here," said KH Mu'tashim.

At Pandanaran Islamic Boarding School, Gibran stayed in touch with administrators and students, then made a pilgrimage to the founders and ancestors of Pandanaran Islamic Boarding School.
