Aipda Robig Who Shoots Vocational High School Students In Semarang Sued 15 Years, Prosecutor: NothingLOWs

SemarANG - Semarang Police Member Aipda Robig Zaenudin was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the alleged shooting that killed a student of SMKN 4 Semarang with the initials GRO.

The Public Prosecutor of the Central Java High Prosecutor's Office, Sateno, in a trial at the Semarang District Court, Tuesday, July 8, also demanded that the defendant pay a fine of Rp. 200 million.

If the fine is not paid, it will be replaced with imprisonment for six months.

In a trial chaired by Chief Justice Mira Sendangsari, the prosecutor stated that Aipda Robig was proven to have violated Article 80 paragraph (3) and (1) of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection.

The prosecutor assessed that the defendant was proven to have committed violence against a child which resulted in the victim's death and injury.

"There is no mitigating consideration," said prosecutor Sateno in front of the panel of judges, quoted from Antara.

The shooting incident occurred on November 23, 2024. At that time, the defendant ran into a group of motorcycle riders who were suspected of being involved in a chase while carrying sharp weapons on Jalan Candi Penataran Raya, Semarang City.

One of the motorcycles from the group is known to have walked too far to the right and grabbed the defendant's vehicle which was traveling from the opposite direction. The defendant then took a firearm and ordered a group of motorists to stop.

The defendant fired a warning shot and three shots at the motorbike that was driving in front of him. One of the shots hit the groin of the victim GRO until he finally died. Two other victims, each with the initials S and A, suffered injuries to the chest and left hand.

The prosecutor said that as a member of the National Police, the defendant should carry out his function to protect and protect the community. Upon these demands, the judge gave the defendant the opportunity to submit a defense (pledoi) at the upcoming trial.
