JAKARTA - The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) has distributed aid worth Rp135 million for nine inheritances of the flash flood victims in Malacca Regency, East Nusa Tenggara.

As reported by Antara, Director of Social Protection for Natural Disaster Victims (PSKBA) of the Ministry of Social Affairs, M Syafii Nasution, said Social Minister Tri Rismaharini had ordered that the distribution of aid for inheritance transfer be accelerated.

"The Minister wants those who died, as well as those who are missing and injured, to be given compensation," he said in TTS Regency before providing assistance.

Each heir will receive the assistance of Rp15 million. Furthermore, said Syafii, his party will tour a number of areas in NTT which are affected by natural disasters due to the seroja tropical cyclone.

"Thank you, ladies and gentlemen, who have come all the way from Malacca here with faces that are still tired, but hopefully after this event, their face will be bright again," he said.

The Ministry of Social Affairs also said he expressed his deep sorrow for victims of natural disasters who lost their parents, children, or relatives.
