End Of Long Holiday, Cipularang Toll Road Towards Jakarta Is Crowded Smoothly

JAKARTA Entering the long holiday end of the Islamic New Year 1 Muharam 1447 Hijriah as well as the weekend, the flow of traffic on the Cipularang Toll Road towards Jakarta was observed to be tight but still smooth on Sunday afternoon, June 29, 2025. Meanwhile, the flow of vehicles from Jakarta to Bandung has started to be relatively smooth.

Density on the Cipularang Toll Road towards Jakarta began to be seen since kilometer 79, precisely in the Maracang area, Purwakarta. The speed of the vehicle is slightly slower because of heavy vehicles on the front line which makes the driver have to be more careful and slow down the speed of his vehicle.

Backflow from Bandung to Jakarta seems to be starting to get busy as the long holiday period ends. Private vehicles still dominate traffic which has been getting dense since the afternoon.

Previously, in order to anticipate the surge in vehicles during the 1 Muharam holiday and school holidays, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) has implemented traffic engineering in the form of contraflow from KM 47 to KM 65 towards Cikampek on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road. The implementation of this contraflow started at 09.49 WIB on the discretion of the police.

Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal PT JTT, Ria Marlinda Paallo, appealed to Trans Java toll road users to always prioritize safety in driving.

"Entering the 1 Muharam holiday which also coincides with school holidays, there is an increase in the volume of vehicles on toll roads," he said in a written statement.

Ria reminded motorists to ensure that the condition of the body and vehicle remains prime before traveling. In addition, he also recommends ensuring that the battery power of the mobile phone and fuel the vehicle is sufficient, as well as the balance of electronic money available.

"Always obey traffic signs and follow directions from officers in the field," he added.
