West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Deputy AKP Raden Dwi Kennardi Dewanto Prathista said the perpetrator was arrested in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta (Jakbar), last Thursday, June 19. He added that there were two perpetrators.

"We managed to identify and arrest two perpetrators in the Cengkareng area on June 19," said Raden in his statement, Sunday, June 29.

Raden explained that the incident began when the young couple intended to ride their motorbikes through social media accounts. Then, the victim gets a potential buyer until he has a meeting.

During the meeting, the perpetrator claimed to be a member of the police. Then the perpetrator said that the victim had violated the rules regarding vehicle documents.

"The perpetrator threatened and said the victim violated the law for selling the motorbike only with the STNK," said Raden

The frightened victim, said Raden, finally handed over his motorbike to the perpetrator.

"Feeling afraid and intimidated, the victim finally handed over the motorbike and the perpetrator immediately fled with the vehicle," said Raden.

After the incident, the victim felt suspicious and finally reported the incident to the West Jakarta Police.

The police, who received the information, immediately carried out a series of investigations until finally the two perpetrators were arrested in the Cengkareng area.

Currently, the two perpetrators have been brought by the West Jakarta Police Headquarters. The goal is for further investigation.
