Ex And Asabri Officials Examined By The AGO

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) is examining three witnesses in the alleged corruption case of PT Asabri's financial management and investment funds. Two of the witnesses were former and senior officials of PT Asabri.

"IW as the President Commissioner of PT. Asabri from 2014 to 201 and TN as the Secretary of the President Director of PT. Asabri from 1988 until now," said Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) AGO Leonard Eben Ezher Simanjuntak in his statement, Tuesday, May 4. .

The examination of both of them is related to the party that carries out the supervision of the Board of Directors of PT. Asabri and represented the Ministry of BUMN while serving as President Commissioner of PT. Asabri from 2014 to 2017.

Meanwhile, the other witness was the President Director of PT. Ciptadana Sekuritas Asia or PT CSA with the initials JHT. He was examined as a transaction broker of PT. Asabri.

"The witness examination is carried out to provide information for the purpose of investigating a criminal case which he has heard himself, he has seen and experienced himself in order to find legal facts about the corruption crime that occurred at PT Asabri," said Leonard.

In this case nine people have been named as suspects. They were the Director of PT Asabri for the period 2011 - March 2016 (Ret.) Major General Adam Rachmat Damiri, the Director of PT Asabri for the period March 2016 - July 2020 (Ret.) Lt. Gen. Sonny Widjaja, Director of Finance of PT Asabri for the period October 2008-June 2014 Bachtiar Effendi, Director of PT Asabri 2013 - 2014 and 2015 - 2019 Setiono Day.

Head of Investment Division of PT Asabri July 2012 - January 2017 Ilham W Siregar, Managing Director of PT Prima Network Lukman Purnomosidi and Director of PT Jakarta Emiten Investor Relations Jimmy Sutopo.

Then President Director of PT Hanson International Tbk Benny Tjokrosaputro and Commissioner of PT Trada Alam Minera Heru Hidayat. Both Benny and Heru are suspects in the corruption case at PT Asuransi Jiwasraya.

This case allegedly caused losses to state finances amounting to IDR 23.73 trillion. The state losses in this case were far greater than in the Jiwasraya case.
