SURABAYA - The East Java Regional Police have insulated nine points on the inter-provincial border route as a follow-up to the policy of prohibiting going home.

"Previously there were seven points of isolation, now there are nine points on the border of East Java and Central Java to Bali," said Dirlantas Polda Jatim Kombes Latif Usman in Surabaya quoted by Antara, Tuesday, May 4.

There are two additional blocking posts, namely the southern route because there is a border route which is quite busy for travelers to pass through.

The total point of isolation, said Latif, consists of nine provincial boundaries, 20 intercity / regency boundaries and 45 toll gates in East Java.

The number of blockages in this province is due to the potential for increased mobilization to local homecoming.

"Because we are also aware of community activity from one rayon to another so there is no accumulation," continued Kombes Latif.

In addition to the isolation of travelers, the police also anticipate an increase in tourists from one rayon to another, considering that now there are regulations that people travel for 6-17 May 2021 are only allowed on the rayon.

"We also anticipate community activities, for example, at tourist attractions. Officers will conduct isolation against tourist visitors," he said.

"Because the tour that will be visited by this community is local. For example, the Malang rayon come to Malang only. But the people of Surabaya cannot flock to Malang because we will do insulation, "said Kombes Latif.
