BLITAR - Head of the Indonesian National Police (Kapolri) General Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that the investigation process related to the alleged fake diploma of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, is still ongoing. The police are currently collecting various documents and information to explore incoming reports.

"Investigators are currently gathering information, documents, then comparisons," said the National Police Chief after making a pilgrimage to the grave of the first President of the Republic of Indonesia Soekarno in Blitar City, East Java, Wednesday, June 26, as quoted from Antara.

He added that investigations would be carried out scientifically and involved various authorities, including forensic laboratories and experts, to ensure the validity of the documents examined.

"All the information and information found will be used as material for the investigator's study in taking further steps," he said.

In this case, Polda Metro Jaya became the center for handling cases after receiving files from several police stations, namely the South Jakarta Metro Police, Central Jakarta Metro Police, Bekasi City Metro Police, and Depok Metro Police.

The delegation was carried out to facilitate the investigation process because the reports were related to the same incident.

In total, there are six police reports that have been received: two of them at Polda Metro Jaya and four others from the police level.

As part of the clarification process, investigators have also conducted examinations at schools and universities where President Joko Widodo studied, in order to trace the truth of the documents in question.

Polda Metro Jaya emphasized that this case is still in the deepening stage. The investigation was carried out carefully and carefully given the sensitivity and impact of the report.

The National Police Chief is in Blitar in the context of a pilgrimage to Bung Karno's grave in Bendogerit Village, Sananwetan District, as part of a series of commemorations of the 79th Bhayangkara Day.

In addition to Blitar, he also made a pilgrimage to the grave of the 2nd President of the Republic of Indonesia Soeharto, as well as to the grave of the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) at the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Jombang Regency.

This pilgrimage aims to explore historical and exemplary values of the nation's leaders in order to welcome Bhayangkara Day which falls on July 1.
