JAKARTA - Russian missile attacks in Ukraine's Dnipropxisk region killed nine people. Attacks damaged civilian infrastructure and injured dozens of train passengers.
The two-wave attack killed seven people in the regional capital Dnipro, governor Serhiy Lysak said. The blast wave also broke the train carriage window and rained down passengers with broken glass.
Nearly 70 people including 10 children were injured. It was reported that 2 other people were killed in the city of Samar, about 10 kilometers (6 miles) from Dnipro, state emergency services said.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha asked West Kyiv partners to respond to the attack.
NATO leaders are currently in The Hague to attend the alliance's summit, where President Volodymyr Zelenskiy hopes to gain more military support for Russia's full-scale invasion launched in 2022.
"This is a matter of credibility for allies to increase pressure on Moscow," Sybiha wrote on X.
