Banyuwangi Has Prepared 4 Homecoming Check Points Including Ketapang Port

BANYUWANGI - Banyuwangi Regency Government, East Java, has prepared 4 check points for blocking the homecoming ban which will take effect May 6-17.

The homecoming isolation point is in the northern area of Wongsorejo District (Banyuwangi-Situbondo border), the southern area in Kalibaru District (Banyuwangi-Jember border).

Then Ketapang Port (Ketapang-Gilimanuk crossing), and in Licin District (Banyuwangi-Bondowoso border).

The Regional Secretary of Banyuwangi Mujiono said that there will also be safeguards at the ports where people's ships dock, such as at Pancer Beach, Boom Beach, and Muncar Beach.

"The district government also prohibits the activities of implementing the Pilkades stages during the elimination of the homecoming period," said Mujiono, Tuesday, May 4.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Chairperson of the COVID-19 Task Force who is also the Dandim 0825 Banyuwangi, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Yuli Eko Purwanto said, since April 22, the Task Force has been tightening the destination trip from and or to Banyuwangi.

"So, from now on, if you want to enter Banyuwangi, you must have a negative COVID-19 certificate," said the Dandim.

In addition, the COVID-19 Task Force also appealed to residents to virtual Eid al-Fitr hospitality and limit physical meetings or halal bihalal.

"Regarding the implementation of Eid prayers, it is permitted with the provisions of implementing health protocols wearing masks, washing hands with hand sanitizers or soap, maintaining distance and limiting congregations to 50 percent of the capacity of places of worship," said Yuli.

Meanwhile, the Head of Banyuwangi Police, Kombes Arman Asmara Syarifudin said his staff had monitored a number of insulating points.

"This monitoring activity is also for socialization to the community," said Arman.

During the implementation of the homecoming prohibition, guarding the blocking points will be carried out 24 hours non-stop.

"For those who are caught going back and forth, we will ask them to return or turn around," he said.
