Iran Attacked, Trump Affirms US Support To Israel

JAKARTA - President Donald Trump stressed the United States (US) supports Israel. Trump called the attack on Iran last night a "very successful" attack.

"Of course we support Israel, obviously and support it," Trump said in a short phone call with CNN, Friday, June 13.

"Iran was supposed to listen to me when I said - you know I gave them, I don't know if you know but I gave them a 60-day warning and today is the 61st day," Trump continued.

Therefore, Trump requested that Iranian officials immediately sign a nuclear-related deal.

"They now have to come to the negotiating table to make an agreement before it's too late. It will be too late for them. You know the people I'm facing are dead, line up," Trump said.

Trump will not mention which people he is referring to.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian separately asked his people to remain united and believe in Iran's leadership after Israel attacked the country.

"I ask the entire nation to maintain unity, at the same time to trust officials," Pezeshkian said as quoted by CNN, Friday, June 13.

"This nation needs unity more than ever," he said.

The president promised to give Israel a hard, rational, and strong response'.

High-ranking officials from the Islamic Republic have issued warnings to Israel after an attack killed military commanders, scientists, and hit its nuclear facilities.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned Israel would face "heavy punishment", while Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called the attack a "war declaration".

Meanwhile, a crowd of protesters in Tehran on Friday called for retaliation against an Israeli attack on Iran.
