PSI Calls Kaesang Ordered The Support Party For The Pramono-Rano Program In Jakarta

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) DKI Jakarta Elva Farhi Qolbina admitted that his party was ordered by Kaesang, as the General Chair of PSI to support the DKI Provincial Government program under the leadership of the Governor-Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung-Rano Karno.

This was revealed by Elva after Kaesang met Pramono at the DKI Jakarta City Hall on Thursday, June 12.

"Mas Ketum's direction is clear, perpendicular, and then also supports governor's programs, because the governor's program must also be beneficial for the people in DKI Jakarta," Elva told reporters, Friday, June 13.

One of the activities in Jakarta that PSI often looks at is Formula E. The electric car racing event held by PT Jakpro BUMD was briefly opposed by PSI during the first year of the event.

This is because the DKI Provincial Government has to spend hundreds of billions of rupiah to finance the commitment fee during the leadership of former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.

In the near future, Formula E will be held for the third time. According to Elva, PSI is now not against the race as long as it does not burden the DKI Jakarta APBD.

"For example, if it turns out that the benefits are also many for the community, then also do not waste the APBD, I think we will support it," said Elva.

"When viewed, this is while evaluated for the program. This then there is a loss to the APBN or not, to the APBD or not. I had time to convey it to the Dispora (Men's and Sports Office) at that time, this should not happen like the previous Formula E," he added.

On Thursday, June 12, Kaesang Pangarep Pramono at the DKI Jakarta City Hall. After holding the meeting which lasted less than an hour, Kaesang admitted that he was limited to keeping in touch and maintaining good relations between PSI and his regional head.

Then, the youngest son of the 7th President Joko Widodo also admitted that he received political advice from the senior PDI-P politician (PDIP).

"We were also here to get advice from the governor for politics. One is focus, the second is not insulting to other people. That's all. Relax everything earlier," said Kaesang.

On that occasion, Kaesang admitted that his party through representatives at the DKI Jakarta DPRD would remain critical of every program of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government during the leadership of Pramono and Rano Karno.

"Earlier I had permission also to the Governor, however we will remain critical of the Governor. But we are perpendicular to the Governor so that all the Governor's programs are smooth," he said.
