Jakarta Weather Forecast June 12: Sunny Morning, Light Rainy Nights In The South And East

JAKARTA The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the weather in some areas of DKI Jakarta on Thursday, June 12 evening will receive light rain. BMKG also urges the public to remain alert to weather changes that can have an impact on daily activities.

In an official statement on the bmkg.go.id page, BMKG stated that the weather conditions in the morning in five administrative areas of Jakarta, namely Central Jakarta, East Jakarta, West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and North Jakarta are expected to be cloudy to cloudy. Only the Thousand Islands area has the potential to experience light rain since the morning.

Entering the afternoon, the entire DKI Jakarta area is predicted to experience thick cloudy weather. This condition is not expected to change much in the afternoon, where almost all areas of Jakarta remain cloudy and thick cloudy.

The weather is expected to start to change at night. West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands will experience thick cloudy weather.

Meanwhile, the areas of South Jakarta and East Jakarta are predicted to experience light rain. Rain is expected to occur in a short duration, but it is enough to disrupt community activities, especially those outside the room.

BMKG also detailed the air temperature in Jakarta today. The temperature in the morning is estimated to range from 24 to 30 degrees Celsius. During the day, the air temperature rose to 29 to 32 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, the temperature at night decreased to around 27 to 30 degrees Celsius. The humidity is estimated to be at the 70'95 percent level, with the dominant wind speed blowing from southeast to south at a speed of 10'20 km/hour.

Seeing the changing weather conditions and the potential for light rain in several areas, the BMKG appealed to the public to remain vigilant and prepare themselves for possible disturbances due to weather conditions.

The Head of the BMKG Public Meteorology Center suggested that residents who are active outside their homes, especially in South Jakarta and East Jakarta, bring equipment such as raincoats or umbrellas to anticipate light rain at night. Two-wheeled vehicle drivers are also reminded to be more careful because wet road surfaces can increase the risk of accidents.

In addition, the public is also advised to maintain body health amid significant changes in temperature and humidity, especially for vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and people with chronic diseases. Cloudy weather and high humidity levels can trigger the emergence of upper respiratory tract diseases such as flu and cough.

BMKG also reminded Jakarta residents to continue to pay attention to daily weather information that can be accessed through the official BMKG website, BMKG official social media, or the InfoBMKG application. Accurate and up-to-date information will help the public in planning activities and taking anticipatory steps in the event of sudden extreme weather changes.
