JAKARTA Because the haircut model was deemed inappropriate, a customer and barber in the Kramat Jati area, East Jakarta, got into an argument that led to persecution, Monday (10/6/2025).

According to an eye witness with the initials B (50), the commotion started when customers felt his haircut was not neat. He then took off the cover cloth and threw it at the barber while throwing harsh words.

"The opponent felt the cut was bad, the cover cloth was thrown at the barber while being said. Even though the residents had tried to calm down," B told reporters.

The barber, who had only been working in that place for a month, had asked customers to leave without paying.

"I've already said, 'don't pay, just go'. But the customers are still threatening," said B.

Feeling constantly threatened, the emotion of the barber peaked. He then chased customers out of the barbershop while carrying scissors.

"Get out on the road while bringing scissors, it will be immediately felt at its customers," he added.

As a result of the accident, the victim was injured and rushed to the Kramat Jati Health Center by local residents, including people from a nearby workshop. Meanwhile, the perpetrators were immediately arrested by the police.

"The perpetrator was taken to the Sector Police after the victim reported it," said B.

Kramat Jati Police Chief through the Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Fadholi confirmed the incident. Currently, the perpetrator has been detained and is undergoing legal proceedings.

"We have secured the perpetrator and detained him. He was charged with Article 351 of the Criminal Code regarding the crime of persecution," said Fadholi when confirmed.

It is known that the perpetrator is the backbone of the family and has only worked as a barber for one month at that location.
