JAKARTA - Eri Cahyadi, Mayor of Surabaya issued a Circular (SE) regarding Increasing Vigilance and Prevention of COVID-19 Transmission. "Residents are advised to reduce unnecessary physical mobility and self-isolate if symptomatic, and immediately carry out antigen/PCR tests according to clinical indications," he said.
He asked residents who experience symptoms such as coughing, fever, runny nose, or shortness of breath, to immediately check with the nearest health care facility, especially if they have a history of contact with sick people or have just traveled from abroad.
He also asked residents to actively report findings of positive cases or crowd spots that have the potential to cause COVID-19 transmission to cross-sectors related to the sub-district, sub-district, and local regional officials.
In the vigilance and prevention of COVID-19, the City Government (Surabaya City Government) also cooperates with community leaders, as well as the Head of RT/RW to play an active role in educating residents to continue to carry out health protocols in a disciplined manner.
