JAKARTA Ahead of Eid al-Adha 2025, Minister of Culture Fadli Zon directly led the symbolic handover of sacrificial animals at the head office of the Ministry of Culture, Jakarta. This is the first time the Ministry has held collective slaughtering of sacrificial animals, involving all main units, work units, and UPT in the Jakarta area.

Eid is a reminder momentum. About sacrifice, about sharing, and about our concern for others, especially our brothers and sisters who still need it," said Fadli in front of the Ministry, Thursday, June 5.

This year's Ministry of Culture sacrificed 26 limousine and symental cattle with an average weight of 440 kg, and 7 goats weighing 50 kg. The total weight reaches 10.7 tons, which is estimated to produce 5.7 tons of fresh meat.

All meat will be packaged in 2 kg packages and distributed to 2,958 mustahik, consisting of 1,240 ASN and non-ASN within the Ministry, as well as 1,718 other beneficiaries channeled through mosques and religious social foundations in Jabodetabek.

The slaughter of sacrificial animals will be carried out on the second tasyrik day, Sunday, June 8, 2025 (12 Dzulhijjah 1446 H) at the Jagimulya Animal Slaughterhouse, Depok, which has met the hygienic and sharia Islamic standards.

Fadli Zon emphasized that this activity is not only a form of worship, but also a reflection of the noble traditions of the nation: mutual cooperation and social solidarity. "This spirit of help is part of our culture, and is in line with the principles of SDGs: no one left behind," he said.

Also present at this event were Inspector General of the Ministry of Culture Fryda Lucyana, Director General of Culture's Diplomacy Endah TD Retnoastuti, as well as echelon officials and hall administrators.

"Happy Eid al-Adha to the people of Indonesia who celebrate and hopefully this holiday can remind us to return to being human beings who care for others, especially for those in need," concluded Fadli Zon.
