Prabowo Donates 1.25 Ton Sacrificial Cow At The Istiqlal Mosque

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto also donated 1.25 tons of sacrificial cattle for the community through the Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta at the celebration of Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijri/2025 AD.

"The President also specifically sacrificed at the Istiqlal Mosque," said Deputy Minister of State Secretary (Wamenaesneg) Juri Ardiantoro at a press conference at the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, Thursday, which was confiscated by Antara.

The sacrificial animals handed over at the largest mosque in Southeast Asia were limousines weighing up to 1.25 tons or 1,250 kilograms.

He said the cow had been declared healthy and met the requirements of the sacrificial law, and would be distributed to people in need through the management of the Istiqlal Mosque.

The provision of sacrificial animals is part of a total of 985 cows donated by President Prabowo to various regions, leaders, and community groups throughout Indonesia in order to welcome this year's Eid al-Adha.

Meanwhile, the Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta received dozens of sacrificial animals ahead of Eid al-Adha 1446 H, including from President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming.

The chairman of the Istiqlal Mosque Sacrifice Committee, Abu Hurairah, said that the President's cattle were a concern because they weighed 1.3 tons, as the heaviest among all sacrificial animals received by the committee.

Until now, the committee has received about 50 cows and more than 60 goats, from state officials, ministries, private companies, state-owned enterprises, to interfaith leaders.

One of the unique contributions came from the romo at the Jakarta Cathedral Church. All sacrificial animals will be distributed to the public according to the Shari'a and hygiene standards.
