BPSBali noted that the total number of foreign tourists visiting Bali was 2,042,666 visits or an increase of 10.55 percent compared to January-April 2024.
"If tourism is the condition of foreign tourist visits, we see the number is very good, then it will not only increase this month but cumulatively it will increase," said Head of BPS Bali Agus Gede Hendrayana Hermawan, Tuesday, 3 Huni.
Of the 2 million total visits, April contributed 591,221 visits, an increase of 25.56 percent compared to the previous month.
The increase in April 2025 was also felt compared to April 2024, which was 17.49 percent or from the previous year 503,194 visits.
During April, there were 587,315 visits through I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, and 3,906 visits by sea gate.
If separated, BPS Bali saw that for April alone the most foreign tourists came from Australia, which reached 139,481 visits, an increase of 34.26 percent compared to the previous month.
Then the second foreign tourists from India increased with a total of 49,658 visits, China 45,068 visits, England 32,301 visits, and France 26,747 visits, all of whom experienced an increase in the month.
"So, the average increase is higher and the highest is France, which is up 98.08 percent," said Agus Gede.
"So if we look at the trend, starting April, usually when viewed from previous years, the graph of foreign tourist visits will continue to increase until the high season and peak season later," he said, quoted by ANTARA.
The increase in visits in April which affected the high number of visits in 4 months is also in line with the level of hotel room occupancy (TPK).
