TANJUNG CELLOR Provincial Government (Pemprov) of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) has again won an Unqualified Opinion (WTP). This 11th award is the Audit Result Report (LHP) of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) on the 2024 Regional Government Financial Statements (LKPD).

The submission of the BPK-RI LHP to the LKPD of the North Kalimantan Provincial Government was held at the Plenary Meeting in 2025, in the Suri's Lemlai Session Room of the Kaltara Provincial DPRD, Monday, June 2.

The Head of the Indonesian BPK LHP was handed over by the Head of the National Financial Audit Agency of the BPK RI, Novy Gregory Antonius Pelenahu, to the Governor of Kaltara, Zainal A. Paliwang accompanied by the Deputy Governor (Deputy Governor) of Kaltara, Ingkong Ala, together with the Chairman of the Kaltara Provincial DPRD, Achmad Djufrie.

Governor Zainal emphasized the importance of synergy between local governments and BPK RI in realizing clean and responsible governance.

"This report is a reflection of our transparency and accountability. This is a reflection of how every rupiah of the budget is managed for the welfare of the people," said Governor Zainal.

"Through the submission of this report, it is an effort to improve accountable and public interest-oriented regional financial governance," he continued.

The governor also appreciated the Indonesian BPK for its hard work and professionalism in conducting a thorough examination of the 2024 LKPD. In addition, Zainal also emphasized the Kaltara Provincial Government's commitment to immediately follow up on every BPK recommendation.

"The BPK's findings are a valuable input for us to continue to improve. We are ready to follow up with concrete steps so that regional financial management will improve," he said.

The governor also explained that the opinion obtained was not the ultimate goal of implementing the government, but the motivation to continue to improve the financial management system, increase the capacity of human resources and build governance with integrity.

"Synergy is strong, good intentions, Kaltara is progressing, the people are happy, while inviting all elements of society to continue to support the development of areas that are transparent and in favor of the people," he said.
