JAKARTA The VOI editorial office has again become the destination for media visits. This time, a number of students and students from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Muhammadiyah University, Tangerang (UMT) visited the VOI office located in the Tanah Abang area, Central Jakarta, Thursday, May 29.

According to Budi Nugraha, Lecturer at Media and Communications at UMT, this media visit aims to bring the theory studied on campus closer to field practice.

Students do not only study theory on campus. With a media visit like this, they can see firsthand the work process of journalists in the field. Thank you to VOI for receiving our visit," said Budi.

Enthusiastically Asking About The Media World

UMT students who came looked very enthusiastic. They not only asked about the management of the news on VOI, but also highlighted the current increasingly stringent challenges and media competition, including how the media took efficiency steps.

One of the things that attract students' attention is how media adapt to the rapid development of technology, especially related to declining revenue from advertising. Many advertising fees' are now moving to global digital platforms such as Google, YouTube, and social media through influencers. This is a big challenge that conventional media must face to remain relevant.

Experience That Opens Insights

Avita Rahma Adila, one of the students who took part in the visit, said she was happy to see the editorial activity firsthand.

Thank you to VOI for opening up to our visit. This visit opens our insight into the reality that is happening in today's media world. Thanks for sharing," he said.

Follow-up Visit To Merdeka's Voice

After completing a visit to VOI, the UMT student group continued their journey to the Jakarta Merdeka Suara editor's office. Previously, students from the Indonesian Computer University (UNIKOM) had also made media visits to VOI.
