"So for that, brothers and sisters, we really want to make this Blok M Hub a 24-hour hub," said DKI Governor Pramono Anung in the launching of Jakarta City's 498th Anniversary in Blok M South Jakarta, Saturday.
Pramono is optimistic that the Blok M area which will be revitalized will be able to become a transportation hub and public space with a number of facilities that have been prepared.
The revitalization of the Blok M area includes the construction of pedestrians or sidewalks along 1.3 kilometers (km) which are confirmed to be friendly for people with disabilities.
Then, it is also supported by the opening of the Martha Tiahahu Literacy Park 24 hours. It is hoped that other parks in Jakarta will also follow to open for 24 hours.

The three parks will be merged into parks with an area of 6.2 hectares (ha) and have a jogging track open 24 hours for Jakarta residents.

The two new Transjabodetabek routes, namely Alam Sutera-Blok M and PIK-Blok M, now serve thousands of passengers every day.
