Insulting TNI And KRI Nanggala-402 Crew On Facebook, Youth With Mental Disorders Initials HH Apologizes

JAKARTA - A youth with a mental illness from Gunungguruh Subdistrict, Sukabumi Regency, West Java, who is suspected of insulting the TNI and spreading hate speech against the crew of the KRI Nanggala-402 Submarine Fleet on social media with the initials HH, finally apologized.

As reported from Antara, Sunday, May 2, the apology was made by HH at the Sukabumi City Police Headquarters which was witnessed by his family, Sukabumi City Police personnel, and members of the Navy from Antralina Combat Training Center 6, Sukabumi.

"My brother has been mentally handicapped since he was three years old. However, on behalf of the family of HH, the owner of the Facebook account 'Kholip Ajaw', apologize profusely to the TNI and its staff, especially the Navy for my younger brother's comments that are not polite on Facebook on Wednesday, April 28, which made TNI members feel hurt", said Empi Hanapi, the older brother of HH at the Sukabumi City Police Headquarters.

In addition to apologizing, he also explained that his younger sibling had suffered from mental limitations for a long time.

In front of the officers, on behalf of his family, he repeatedly apologized for the actions of his younger brother who had insulted the TNI and wrote hate speech over the sinking tragedy of the KRI Nanggala-402 Submarine on his Facebook account.

Meanwhile, HH also haltingly apologized for his actions on social media which caused TNI personnel to feel hurt.

"I, HH want to apologize to the entire TNI and its ranks for defamation so that the TNI is hurt, that's all from me", he said.

Previously, HH officers from the Gunungguruh Police and Sub-District Military Command Cisaat were arrested by the Sukabumi City Police Headquarters because they were suspected of having uploaded hate speech against the TNI on Facebook social media.

In developing this case the Criminal Investigation Division, Sukabumi City Police asked for information from several witnesses, starting from the heads of Neighborhood and Citizens Association to the HH family. In addition, coordinating with R Syamsudin SH Hospital Sukabumi City to ensure the mental condition of HH.

From the results of the examination, that HH is mentally retarded according to the Medical Certificate number: 445/446.1/0631/IV/2021/RSSH which states that the patient (HH) is mentally retarded (moderate mental retardation).
