JAKARTA - The body of Major (Cpl) of Anda Rohanda, a soldier of Gupusmu III Jakarta who died in the explosion of expired ammunition in Garut, was buried militarily in Cinunuk Village, Cileunyi District, Bandung Regency, at 14.00 WIB, Tuesday, May 13.

The deceased was one of 13 fatalities in the incident that occurred during the process of destroying inadequate ammunition in Sagara Village, Cibalong District, Garut Regency on Monday, May 12.

When met at the funeral home, Mayor Rohana's older brother, Oyib Gunawan admitted that he did not believe it when he heard the news that his younger brother was one of the victims of the explosion.

"I first heard from a friend at around 12.30 WIB. At first I didn't believe it, but after being confirmed by some of the deceased's colleagues, including Major Encang, and I saw my sister's name in the media, I was sure," said Oyib, quoted by Antara.

He conveyed that the family was devastated by the departure of Major Rohana. The figure of the deceased is known as a friendly, simple, and highly dedicated person to his duties.

"Just look at it. My wife passed out yesterday, I was also dizzy, confused," he said.

He said the funeral was carried out near the graves of the deceased's parents as a form of respect and requests from the family. "Born near parents," said Oyib.
